The short version: Scraplight has no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no tracking, and your game files never leave your computer.
On your device
The game keeps everything in your browser:
- Your imported game files, in the browser's private file storage (the Origin Private File System).
- Your saves, settings and the last game you picked, in the same storage and in
localStorage. - A copy of the app itself, so it opens offline (a service worker that caches only the app's own files and never answers for game data).
None of it is sent anywhere. You can remove it any time from the Storage tab in Settings, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. A save you export, or a replay you save, is a file you choose to create and share.
What the app sends
Nothing. The app makes no requests to any other site or service: no analytics, no telemetry, no error reporting, no fonts or scripts from a third party. The code was audited for network calls before release; the audit is in the repository (docs/RELEASE_AUDIT.md).
This website
The pages you are reading are static files with no scripts that contact anyone, and no cookies. Like any website, whoever hosts it sees ordinary request information (your IP address, the time, the page asked for and your browser's user agent) in server logs. We do not use those logs to identify or profile anyone. The one thing the page remembers is, for the length of your visit, that you have seen the start-up animation (sessionStorage).
Links to GOG, Steam and GitHub leave this site. Those services have their own privacy policies.
Bug reports
Reports go through GitHub issues, in public, under your GitHub account. Do not attach game files or saves with personal information.
